To promote the rearing of indigenous cows, the government will provide up to 75 percent subsidy on Sahiwal, Tharparkar and Gir cows. Under the Bihar Desi Gaupalan Protosahan Yojana, the state government will give 50 percent subsidy to the general category people and 75 percent subsidy to SC/ST, OBCs for two and four cows.
